Blue Mountain Beach Florida: Best Beaches in Florida
Beach Personality: Residential
Blue Mountain Beach Florida
Blue Mountain Beach Florida got its name from the native blue lupine flowers that grow nearby and the fact that the sand dunes there are among the highest along the Gulf. Otherwise, it’s a typical Gulf front beach with sparkling white sand and clean blue-green water. The beach is especially popular for surf fishing.
Although Blue Mountain Beach Florida is located in what’s primarily a quiet, residential section of Santa Rosa Beach, there are a few small strip malls with food and shops nearby. One is at the intersection of Hwy 30A and Blue Mountain Rd. The other is at the intersection of Hwy 30A and Hwy 83.
