Fall is my favorite time of year to take a beach vacation. The weather’s still warm in most parts of the US, and oftentimes water temperatures are the hottest of the year because they’ve had time to heat up from the summer sun. Plus, prices and crowds drop in the fall. These fall beach resorts are all excellent choices for a fantastic fall beach vacation.
Best Fall Beach Resorts in the US
Lodge at Sea Island Golf Club in Sea Island GA is a luxurious upscale resort on a gorgeous unspoiled Georgia barrier island. It’s a pricey option, but you can expect to be pampered here.
Hilton Head Marriot Resort & Spa in Hilton Head Island SC is a full service resort hotel with enough activities to please everyone.
Montreal Beach Resort in Cape May NJ is an oceanfront hotel steps from Cape May beach. A Trip Advisor review calls the resort “perhaps the best deal on the Jersey Shore!”
Winnetu Oceanside Resort in Martha’s Vineyard MA is a lovely property. Located at South Beach in Edgartown, there are enough activities onsite (many of them complimentary) for you to never leave the resort.
The Cliff House in Ogunquit ME is the only full service resort in Ogunquit, home to my favorite Atlantic coast beach!

Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa in Monterey CA is my favorite hotel in Monterey: one of my favorite destinations. The resort is within walking distance of all Monterey has to offer including kayaking and Monterey Bay Aquarium. This is one hotel that it’s worth the upgrade to get an oceanview room because you can see all kinds of marine mammals, fish and birds from the comfort of your room.

Holiday Beach Resort Okanagan Falls on the shores of Skaha Lake in British Columbia Canada isn’t your typical fall beach resort. It’s on an inland lake in a remote Canadian location, but that’s what makes it so beautiful in the fall. Try the Holiday Beach Resort Motel in Okanagan Falls if you’re in the mood for something a little different.

Summary
No matter where you go, fall is a perfect time of year to take a beach vacation. But, if you’re looking for a beach with beautiful fall colors and a short summer/fall season, I highly recommend the Atlantic coast from Maine to Georgia and the Pacific coast from California to British Columbia.
