White Sand Beaches

Great beaches often have white sand. People like white sand because it’s very fine grained — which makes it soft — and water seems to sparkle when viewed next to it.

There are many places around the world where you can find white sand beaches some of which include Florida, Australia, Barbados in the Caribbean, and the Philippines.

White Sand Beaches in Florida

The Gulf of Mexico is where you’ll find Florida’s white sand beaches. Overall that encompasses more than 700 miles of white sand, some developed and some totally pristine, ranging from the Florida/Alabama state line to the Florida Keys.
