Ocho Rios is a port of call for many cruise lines visiting Jamaica. It’s also where you’ll find some of the most luxurious resorts and spas in the Caribbean. Dunn’s River Falls is near Ocho Rios. And parts of Dr. No, the first James Bond film, were filmed in Ocho Rios.
Jamaica Beaches —
Jamaica has 635 miles of coastline, so you can find a beach virtually anywhere, but the primary beach destinations in Jamaica are Ocho Rios, Montego Bay, Port Antonio, Treasure Beach, and Negril.
Ocho Rios beaches include:
- Ocho Rios Beach, a private beach fronted by 3 hotels. You can buy a day pass and enjoy Ocho Rios Beach even if you aren’t staying at one of the hotels.
- A relatively unknown half-mile, golden sand beach where the Dunn’s River empties into the ocean.
- Ocho Rios Bay Beach, also known as Turtle Beach, a curved beach with clear, shallow water and fine-grained sand.
- Reggae Beach a natural beach set between two rocky outcrops.
