Maui Hawaii —
Maui Island is one of six Hawaiian Islands that tourists can visit: Oahu, Maui, Hawaii (The Big Island), Kauai, Lanai and Molokai. Ni’hau is the seventh inhabited Hawaiian Island, but it is privately owned and has no overnight accommodations.
A Maui vacation usually includes time spent at the beach. In fact, Maui has more accessible beaches than any other Hawaiian Island. There’s a lot more to do on Maui than relax on the beach. Other popular activities for visitors are:
- Whale watching
- Surfing
- Diving
- Snorkeling
- Paddle boarding
- Golf
- Shopping
- Sunrises and biking on Haleakala
- Horseback riding
- Hiking
- “Farm to table” dining
Readers of Conde Nast Traveler magazine have named Maui “Best Island” over 19 times.

Maui Vacation Rentals
In addition to Maui Hawaii hotels and resorts, there are many choices for vacation rentals in Maui. They include condos, townhomes, and single-family homes. The great thing about Maui vacation rentals is they are often a good way to save money while traveling. Good sources for rentals are local real estate agents and online rental companies.
