Main Beach Laguna Rating
Beach Personality: Artsy and Affluent
Main Beach Laguna
Main Beach is very small, but packed with amenities. The sand is a fine, soft texture with a bit of natural debris along the tideline. The water is true blue in color and appears to be quite clean. Recently, the Orange County Register selected Main Beach Laguna as 2012’s best beach in Orange County.
According to some residents I spoke with, Laguna Beach (the city) is an international art community with a diverse population. In addition to locals, Laguna Beach attracts many visitors because of its reputation as a gathering place for artists and people interested in the arts, and because of its many festivals. The character of the town affects the nature of the beach.
Main Beach Laguna has “more of a relaxed affluence” than other nearby beaches. However, like the other beaches you can often see dolphins and seals swimming near shore and the beach is always changing with the tides. Sometimes it is all sand while other times there are lots of rocks along the beach.
