Hampton Beach New Hampshire for A Great Family Beach Vacation
Hampton Beach Events
Hampton Beach has something for people of all ages. Its many events include beach fireworks, the Hampton Beach Talent Competition, Hampton Beach Sand Sculpture Contest, and the Hampton Beach Seafood Festival, which is held the weekend after Labor Day. In fact, the American Bus Association (ABA) named the Hampton Beach Seafood Festival one of the Top 100 Events in North America.
Hampton Beach Attractions
Among Hampton Beach’s many attractions is the Casino Ballroom, which originally opened in 1899 and is located on Hampton Beach’s boardwalk. The Casino Ballroom hosts live concert events from April through November, and some of the biggest artists in the entertainment business have played there, including The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Bonnie Raitt, Led Zeppelin, Bare Naked Ladies, Jerry Seinfeld, Ray Charles, The Doors, and Travis Tritt to name a few. In 2010, Pollstar ranked it 23rd in its annual ranking of the Top 100 Worldwide Club Venues. Strangely enough, there is no gambling at Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom: the word casino comes from the 19th-century definition meaning “gathering place.”

Hampton Beach Fire
On February 26, 2010, a fire ravaged Hampton Beach’s Surf Motel and the entire block around it. The fire was fueled by high winds caused by a nor’easter, a particularly severe New England storm. Luckily no one was killed or injured in the fire. According to Hampton Fire Chief Chris Silver, four fires – in 1915, 1923, 1950, and this one — have broken out on the same block.
As you can see, Hampton Beach, New Hampshire is a great town and beach if you and your loved ones are looking for a place to take a beach vacation in the northeast US.
To many joyful beach experiences!
