Hobie/Windsurfer Beach is a somewhat unique beach because it’s actually two distinct beaches separated by a long bridge. Both parts of the beach offer great views of the downtown Miami skyline as well as numerous types of water sport rentals.
This beach didn’t get the nickname Windsurfer Beach for nothing. It’s a fantastic place to windsurf with both rentals and lessons available here. Pedal boats are also available for rent, which is unusual since pedal boats used to be popular, but you don’t see them too often anymore. It’s a shame because they are so easy to use and fun. Pedal boating is like riding a bike in the water. You propel yourself by peddling.

The southern part of the beach is reached by turning southwest off the Rickenbacker Causeway (Route 913) across from the Maritime and Science Technology Academy High School.
